Waterjet cutting at the University of Sunderland
I use a waterjet cutter as part of the process of making my PhD work at the University of Sunderland. A waterjet is similar to a laser cutter, but uses high pressure waterjet and garnet grit to cut through glass or metal. The process involves creating a drawing in AutoCAD or Adobe Illustrator and then programming the machining of the cut.
